What does this mean?
Hy folks,
got some weird messges in my /var/log/messages and /var/log/warn that I cant find any information about on the net. Maybe one of you can shed some light on this. kernel: ing_filter: fixed eth0 out eth0 The funny things is it happens about 5 times per hour. It is also followed by an iptables log entry from a rule that logs invalid TCP Options. Also it always comes in pairs. Meaning the same messages comes twice within one second. I´m running SUSE 9.2 with the near default firewall. The nic is a Silicon Integrated SiS900. |
ing_filter (debug?) messages
very similar problem there
http://oss.sgi.com/archives/netdev/2.../msg00885.html and seemed solved by http://oss.sgi.com/archives/netdev/2.../msg00940.html My guess: later version of netfilter than the one you have would be ok. PS: A better thread title would have helped |
