what do you think would happen if....

I upgraded my motherboard and cpu from kt 400/athlon xp to a intel chipset with p4 hyperthreader cpu. I am running Fedora and would like to put the hard drive right in .....what happens when it wakes up with new body parts?

Will It boot so I can download the kernel that supports the hyperthreaders?

If u use generic kernel supplied with your distro there is very high chance that linux will boot and run without problems with new mobo/cpu.
