What distro is best for using TV-out?

After having lots of problems trying to get the TV out working on my FC1 and FC2 distro's I am curious if anyone else has had any luck with TV-out and some other distro? I was thinking of trying Suse or Debian. I have to stay with a free distro.

EDIT
this is an AMD Athlon 1600 with an Asusv A7V333 board and a GF4MX440, I thinkits brand name is gainward.

Although I've never actually tried getting TV Out working on Mandrake, it's really easy to set everything else up, so why not TV Out? Also, if you are trying to do something that calls for it, you might want to google for the Myth TV Version of Knoppix...

Thanks, I'll look into mandrake. I am not relaly looking for a PvR type of thing, only want to be able to output video to my TV. isn't knoppmyth a linux replacement for a PvR? Also I don't have a capture card, mine only offers TVout.

Found this for you on the Mandrake Linux homepage.

its nothing to do with DISTRO. ITs all about the drivers. Linux is linux, no matter what "pre compiled" set of software you use (AKA distro), if your looking for an out of the box solution, SuSe had the absolute best "out of the box" multimedia support. But linux is linux; add whatever you want.

Although Distro is not equal to Drivers, some distros make things much easier to set up than others, and the OP was asking that. At least, that's how I read the OPs question.
