Western Dig. 320GB SATA / HDDWDC-3200JD ?

I'm looking at expanding my storage and need to make sure that I don't blow a coupl'a hundred bucks on an incompatible drive.

It's SATA, so I'm not that worried, but still

The price between a 200, 250 and 320 is negligible so I figure I might as well get the 320, but if anyone has other recommendations I'm open to ideas. The link below might shed some light on my usage requirements.

If you have over a 137 GB disk now, 320 GB will work. If you have under 137 GB presently you might have a problem, but probably not. 137 GB is a bios limitation, but a fairly old one, at least a few years. There is really no way to tell except from the motherboard you use. You have to look it up on google.

The wonderful things about the Linux kernel is it uses its own ways to calculate the hard drive geometry. This means the BIOS limitation that DOS/Windows users have are meaningless with Linux installations. Linux will be able to handle several terabytes even though your controller can only handle 32 GB (for example). However, the BIOS limitation is still in effect when using a boot loader like LILO or GRUB, but all the space will be found when the Linux kernel is loaded.
