Well Supported DVD writers?

Hi all,

I'm looking for an external DVD burner to put in a RedHat 7.3 box (don't ask). does anybody know of one which has kernel support in 7.3, and is currently on the market?

In theory all of the firewire or usb 2.0 external devices should work, the hard part is the card already in your box. If you don't have USB 2.0 or Firewire, forget it, usb 1.1 can't transport data fast enough to burn. The software is the big part, look around for dvd+rw-tools I think its called, its hosted on sourceforge, there's some good faqs there.
