Question Weird printer problem

I reloaded a friends system with Linux Mint 21.1 Mate. Now the printer is printing the top and bottom of a page but not the middle. It's a 2600 series HP Inkjet. I tried reinstalling the driver from the .run file hp provides. That didn't solve the problem. I don't know what to do next. Anyone have ideas?
