weird colors on screen
 

I had Suse Linux Pro 9.1 working fine on my Alienware Area-51 3500. I used an old dell crt moniter that I switched to a LG 19" Flatron Slim (L1980U). Then I needed to reinstall linux, and when I finished, all of the colors were screwed up. Blue shows up as green, and green shows up as pink, but some colors remain the same. The computer dowsn't recognize the moniter. I use an ATI Radeon X700 Pro 256MB. While I was reinstalling linux, the colors were fine, but now they arent.

Please, please give me any advice, which I will be very greatful for.

It could just be a badly-timed monitor failure... try plugging the monitor in to another computer to make sure it isn't.

i tried using a different moniter, and that didnt work. i also use a dual boot, and on the windows side, it works fine.
