Webcam support

I'm having trouble installing a USB Genius webcam, "Trek 310". It's a simple webcam, with infrared LEDs to give you night shoots, in black-and-white.

I've managed to compile as a module the necessary "sn9c1xx" driver into the kernel. After rebooting I notice that the webcam is ON all the time, that's the first problem. It should be off, unless a program needs it.

So, the first thing I try is lsmod, and I see the module is NOT loaded. I load it by doing modprobe sn9c102.

Next, I try the webcam with amsn 0.97b: the second problem is that image is in black and white.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
