webcam stops working
Hello,
My webcam stops working after working a brief moment . Before I start cheese
ls -l /dev/video0
crw-rw----+ 1 root video 81, 0 Mar 2 11:04 dev/video0
and after it runs around 20 seconds or so
ls -l /dev/video0
ls: cannot access '/dev/video0': No such file or directory.
But, '/dev/video0' reappears maybe 10 or so minutes after closing cheese.
Below is some system info
$ uname -r
5.13.0-30-generic
sudo inxi -bxx

Also, I have tried rebooting many times along with running apt-get update a number of times as well.

Is this built-in or external and how old is it?
If you can borrow a working webcam from someone, strictly for testing purposes, testing with it might help get closer to whether this is a hardware or a software problem.

It's a build-in webcam and it used to work but I don't know when it stopped working. It might have been broken when I recently installed Microsoft Teams which uses both the webcam and mic and I decided to uninstall it because Chrome seemed to work fine with no install needed for ms teams. So that uninstall could have broken the webcam but then again I haven't used to for about a year so I don't know for sure.
And I didn't mention it but it seems my microphone is also broken but I figured I would tackle one thing at a time.
I purchased this laptop used about 2 years ago and the mic and webcam were working as of about a year ago or so. I'm thinking it's not hardware but rather the ms teams uninstall but I don't how to confirm that. I had a spare webcam at one time so I'll test it if I can find it assuming I can find a linux driver for it.

More infor:
When I run dmesg -w
I can see my webcam disconnect.
Note the messages before the disconnect are right after dev/video0 is back just before restarting cheese and the disconnect is cheese running briefly.
