Webcam needed

I am interested in some advice in getting a webcam. I need this for a tutorial. Someone wants to view my sharpening technique. How good Of a webcam and computer do I need? Can you recommend something? I bought one today with built in mike, but audio quality was not good. I think I will look for something with an external mike so I can position it better, any suggestions?

Thanks

Maybe use another mike connected to the regular sound card? Webcam's integrated mikes arent that good usually.

Webcams are cheap nasty as a rule. They have to be cheap, so nasty is a consequence. If you want quality on the cheap, try a video camera. Some smartphones even have acceptable cameras which will shoot a video.

I picked up a Genius f100. The problem I have is the mike dosen't sound that good, maybe I can use a separate mike with it. It says the minimum requirements are a 2.4 gig processor which is what I have. The image is not bad, but the movements lag, that is too slow, not is sync with how fast I am moving. Is this the fault of the webcam or is my processor not up to the job? Will another webcam help with this?

Thanks

The video camera beckons. These digital replacements for the old vhs cameras. Every friend's father is bound to have one. Otherwise, you're into complex editing.

A video camera won't work for what I need. I need to do conferences with Skype. This has to be live. So I need to find a web cam that works for me.

Look for usb3 support, fast frame rate, & high resolution. Anything that boasts its specs iz worth a loom. You will also need high bandwidth all the way. Wish you luck.
