hey. i'd like to get my webcam to work. it's a logitech quicam express.
i've googled around a bit about it but couldnt find anything helpful.
it's an USB-camera and frankly i have no idea how to get it to work. i run SuSE 8.1 and when i plug in the webcam it gets detected in /proc/bus/usb/device as a 'camera' but i don't know what to do after this.
i would be satisfied if i could get it to somehow take a snapshot once in a while and then just copy it to my public_html.
Originally posted by acid_kewpie well if it's got a camera then it'd sound like it's been detected and loaded... tried just using it in a tv viewer or something...?
do you know of any other type of programs like motion?.....
I tried motion out and It works to the point that it detects motion but it doesnt capture photographs or mpeg for me.......using quickcam express
