WD usb drive caused BIOS over clocking reset-SOLVED

I'm running a Gigabyte 965p DS3 rev3.3 mb with a I-6420 chip, 4 GB PC-6400 DDR2 memory and mildly over-clocked from 2.133 to 2.99GHz. After I hooked up my new 500GB WD external USB 2.0 hard drive, the system would fail to boot at over-clock settings and auto reset to OEM settings.

Problem was solved by "disabling" the 'legacy USB' setting in the BIOS.

Last issue is to adjust 'permissions' for read/write in new Linux partitions.
