Wacom Volito2 lifetime?

Hi!

This is probably a wrong forum to post this thread in, but I couldn't get a decent answer anywhere else, not even Wacom's support service.

The thing is that I recently bought a Wacom Volito2 pen tablet. Works fine enough on linux, though after some use I discovered that the tip of the pen was wearing down a bit. Now I use this equipment for drawing purposes, so I can very well understand that wear will certainly occur after some time because of the many strokes one has to make.

Anyway, I consulted the manual, where it was simply stated that when the tip wears down, the whole pen has to be replaced.

My question is, does anyone knows, from experience or otherwise, how long such a pen will be operative before being totally worn down?

Any info appreciated
Thanks in advance

Well, finally I've got a reply from WACOM themselves. If anyone is interested, here is their answer:

Quote:
You can at least use it for the two years warranty time, since we replace defective pens within this time. But usually pens live much longer.
