Could you point me to this thread? I searched the mdk forum but couldn't find anything about this.
Can't remember what the thread was about, but basically the solution for getting it to work as a mouse involved just removing usbmouse and wacom modules, then inserting the wacom module. Should work.
But.
The new kernel that should be available with urpmi is supposed to fix the problem altogether. In bugzilla someone said it did, I haven't tried it yet.

Aha... That's interesting. I have to try the new kernel then.

Thanks.

I just wanted to say that I got my graphire 3 working in mdk 10.1 now without much trouble. The only thing that was needed was to edit the xorg.conf file and change event0 to event2 which is the tablet on my system.

hey, that what helped me (from other forum):
"I needed to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf. All entries pointed to /dev/input/event1 and the stylus, eraser etc actually were /dev/input/event3 (Check with cat /dev/input/event0/1/2/3 etc etc what works for you)."

Why don't we cut out the middle man, and not bother the linuxwacom project with our emails, and instead, call WACOM and also email them, requesting they make linux drivers.

Are they going to do it? No. But if enough people call and email and tell them that we can't use they're product anymore because it doesn't have linux drivers, they'll see the demand, and they'll be pressure for them to write drivers...
