Virtual machine/box cannot read /dev/sda

How to copy file from inside virtual machine/box to its host fs as it run bootable USB but cannot read /dev/sda?

gnomebox didn't have any:
Code:
# lsblk -f
NAME FSTYPE LABEL UUID FSAVAIL FSUSE% MOUNTPOINT
loop0 squashfs 0 100 /mnt/livecd

sda
sr0 iso9660 Gentoo amd64 20210210T214 0 100 /mnt/cdrom

Not yet doing any else than listing above on spec.: 2GB RAM 21GB disk
Help guide the bright true path

I gather you are running VirtualBox?

I assume sda is a virtual drive you created when you created the virtual machine?

From the VM's perspective it looks like a real hard drive and you would partition and format it just like the real thing.
