virizon vcast phones

has anyone been able to put music onto verizon wireless vcast phones with linux?
I have an lg 8100 and do not want to have to boot into windows to load it (and use windows media player) I read somthing about the firmware in the phone being 4 or lower makes it possible, if I goto tools on my phone menu and choose device info it says
SWversion: t81vzv07
PRL Version: prl 50511
ERI Version: ERI 4

so I would assure eri is my firmware.

I have a Samsumg A950. Has a 1 gig memory chip add-on. I formatted the chip to FAT32, and copy stuff from Linux whenever I want. Preferences on the phome are set to write all music and video to the Chip, as well, so it copies the other way just as easily.
