Viewsoninc 19"LCD won't show native 1440x900 in Suse10

Just bought a nice Viewsonic VA1912wb 19" LCD that runs at 1440x900 natively. For the life of me, I can't get it to run at 1440x900 on Suse 10 using the Nvidia drivers supplied by Suse. I have been selecting a 1440x900 wxga LCD in Sax2 but I can't get a beter resolution than 120x24. Any ideas? I am using an Nvidia card, by the way.
