in another screen, it says everything is not xonfigures. i configure everything, then it ask's me to save. i just save as vid, then close. when i open it again, it says everything is not configured again. heres that screen.

Screen 2

now when i try to play ut2004, i get an error, that i think has to do with the video. heres the error.

screen 3

what can i do to fix this? i really want ut to play, and i think it hasta do with the video, but i dont know how to fix the problem with the video card.

Are you running this configuration stuff as root. Regular users usually don't have permission to permanantly alter files like those controlling the window manager and screen resolution.

So it could be that you are changing the files, but when you close the application it is unable to write the files with its user permissions, thus when you reopen the files they are returned to their unconfigured state.

Use su to permanentl y change important system files.
