VIA KT133 (PCI) latency problems?
about a year ago, before i started using linux, there was talk of pci (i think) latency problems on motherboards with VIA chipsets (KT133 & KT266 i think), and a windows patch appeared. Now i'm using mandrake 9.2 with kernel 2.6.5, and have just installed a Radeon 9500 Pro (128MB), after a lot of hassle, it seems to be working, but i keep getting 'stuttering' when i'm gaming. The whole thing seems to lock up for about a quarter of a second about every 10 seconds or so.
Is this an issue related to this? Has anyone had these problems and found a solution? I'd really appreciate some help :)
