Exclamation VIA hardware... Conexant Software?


ok so i have this gateway *ack* and it has a VIA mainboard, with built in everyting, of course. I want the modem to work for linux... cause NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO MY OTHER PROBLEM *see fourm, look for my last post.*
anyhow... VIA makes the hardware, but i guess the software driving the modem is Conexant ACLink ... someone please clairify how that works? and if it will work if i DL the mainboard drives for linux? meep?
