VIA CX700 M2 Chipset - Distorted Fonts

Hi,

I am using the VIA CX700M2 UniChrome PRO II Graphics (VGA controller) drivers which I built on my Debian 4.0 (etch-2.6.24 kernel) system following the instructions from VIA Arena - Display Drivers

I am able to boot into my GNOME environment but the problem is that my fonts are not very clear. They appear little bit distorted in the gnome-terminal window and also on the GNOME menu.

Also when I use the generic "vesa" driver instead of the compiled "via" driver under GNOME (xorg.conf) the fonts are very clear.

What could be the cause of the problem?

Thanks
