Via c3 E processor i586? i386??

I have a Epia mini-ITX motherboard with a via c3 E series Processor. I tried uname -p and it returned "Unknown"
1. Does anyone happen to know what (i386, 586, etc..) it is likely to be?Any suggestions on where else to look would be appreciated.
I would like to install Mardrake 9.1 on it and the ISO images say they are for i586 and I am not sure if I can use them.

2. Can I use a distro for i586 on a i386, etc...?

Thanks

I found the answer: Is also known as a Samuel 2: seems to be a i586.

Sorry I didn't check more carefully first
