Unhappy USR5610b and SUSE 9.0 Pro

Guys, I really cant figure this one out.

Ive used redhat for awhile, so I decided its time to try another distro out, so I went and bought SUSE Por 9.0

Got everything running wonderfully, even mounting my ntfs drive, but for some reason it wont let me use my modem.

When I try to probe the modem, it comes back as other, and no AT commands work on it.

Im so close to getting my PC up 100%, but this one items is irritating me to the point that I wanna pull my hair out and go blow some fish outta my pond with some TNT

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue?

If so, any information would be greatly appreciated
