When running the "make install" command to install the drivers for my Intel PRO 1000 network card, it cannot find the /usr/src/linux directory
Now looking in this forum I should have a kernal source in here, but where can I get it from?
I've look, and looked, and I cannot find it anywhere on redhats website, can someone give me a link to where I can get the source from, i've also read that it on the ISO, which one?
When I had readhat, the sources were installed in /usr/src/linux-rh2.4, or something similar. Try ls /usr/src to see if there are any directories similar to this. If so, do:
ln -s directoryname /usr/src/linux
If not, the sources should be available through the redhat package manager under the development section. They were for me at any rate
Guy
when I lspci it show my ac97 modem but now sound. How can I get this working! A step by step guide would be excellent, I know that some people say that I need to just enable sound, HOW? HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!
Why do you use KDE, why not GNOME (which seems to be the default)
Also, is it possible to set rh9/internet explorer to connect to the internet using my modem when needed, and to disconnect on idle
