Using USB drive on Fedora on a VM to move files
I recently installed Fedora on a VM (my main operating system is windows). I would like to use the USB drive on Fedora to move files. Is there an easy way to do it?

Click VM > Removable device > USB_drive_name, then click Connect. Start your file browser and the drive should be automatically mounted in /media.

When I connect my USB stick, a window opens up and it asks to connect it to VM/Fedora. But the /media is empty. Do I need to modify some settings in Fedora or Windows?

Look at the output of the command
lsblk
It will show you if the usb drive is mounted.

It reads the USB sticks with a FAT32 format but not exFAT/NTFS. So, I need to use up to 32GB size USB drives.

What version of fedora are you running? exFAT and NTFS should be automatically supported. Technically you can format FAT32 > 32GB and is possible using Linux, it is just Windows that imposes the limitation.

I didn't try a USB drive but I verified that fedora does support exFAT and NTFS without installing anything.
What error or warning messages are you seeing?

Maybe that is not the right procedure to connect. Try the method that Michaelk Describes:

Click VM > Removable device > USB_drive_name, then click Connect. Start your file browser and the drive should be automatically mounted in /media.
