Using Elotouch touchscreen with Kdrive/TinyX?

I'm trying to use my Elotouch touch screen with the Kdrive XVesa server. I've used the screen with full blown XFree86, but as near as I can tell the Kdrive servers don't use an XF86Config file and have no way of loading external modules. I've found some pages that suggest Kdrive has generic touchscreen support built into it based on tslib, but I can't find anything about about how to enable it. I'm hoping that I don't have to recompile the server to enable support, but it may come to that. Has anyone made this work? If so, I would appreciate some pointers. Thanks very much for your help.
