using a mic embedded in a compaq fs740 monitor


i have a mic that is embedded in my monitor and im not sure where i'd look to see how the kernal assigns it. I'd also like to know of a program i can use to record voice to use it, but i wouldn't know where to tell the program where the device is. herte is my dmesg if it helps:
