using a logitech webcam under linux

i have a logitec webcam and i was wondering if anyone could help me. i have absolutly no idea how to do this! it is usb, but i have got no clue how to use it!

i know i havent been much help but i dont know what else to tell you, if anyone can help me then i would greatly apricate it.
I have had a linux server for about a year now maybe a little bit less and about 2 months ago i swithed my main b0x from windows to linux and slowly i have been making all my things work and my webcam is almost the last thing i have to do! except my ipod which i cant figure out how to use on linux!

if anyone can help me with my webcam problem i would greatly apricate it, also if anyone reading this uses an ipod on linux or knows how to use it i would also greatly apricate any advice on that as well.

Thanks in advance, Ben

as to the webcam, no clue, but as to the ipod, perhaps when you plug it into your usb port, it reads as a usb hard disk, if so after you plug it in check either dmesg or mount to discover if it's been automounted and where, then you can navigate to it and exchange your music files with it?

U just need to install the needed driver! have a look in the webcam-HowTo at www.tldp.org and search in the devices section for logitech.

If you have a very new logitech-cam you might not be able to get a good picture or a picture at all... like me :-)
