Usefulness of over-volted CPU

I have a Phenom II X4 965 that I had accidentally over-volted way too much. It doesn't run at it's stock speed anymore (3.4 Ghz), but it will run at lower speeds less than 3ghz. Problem is it always fails mprime after about 20 minutes (around test #7 or #8). Obviously I can't trust it with any important number crunching, but is there still a use for it? Thinking of setting it up as a media PC. Any thoughts?

It probably would work fine as a media box.

Its possible that if you have the right motherboard/BIOS with the ability to disable cores that disabling one/some of the cores will let the system run perfectly.

Last night I tested at 3Ghz and with a core disabled. After 40 minutes there were no errors. I'm testing more today for longer period of time. While even with all 4 cores enabled, the system runs fine. My only concern is that even though the instability only shows under mprime, that it could potentially cause data corruption.
