USe an Epson printer on my Linux Mint. Already being use witrh Windows 7 on a Dual Bo
 

My computer is an Asus P53E Notebook. It has Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. I use an Epson WF-3520 All-in-One printer. The printer functions in all modes as setup. I installed Linux Mint 16 "Alongside Windows 7" resulting in a "Dual Boot" system. The printer will not function in any mode that is related to Linux. (print and scan)
What must I do to use this printer with Linux Mint 16?
Remember I'm a "newbie".

My last Epson printer was an MX-80, but you might check out the solution suggested here.

I have had the Epson printer for awhile and it's approachinhg the time I'll get a new one.
Instead of relying on my own preferences I'll ask for suggestions from you all.

My requirement are;
1. referably a "Four in One"
2. Be able to print duplex easily
3. Scan and Copy
4. Wireless capable
5. And easy to setup in Windows 7 and Linux Mint (all modes supported)

A long time ago, I had an Epson Stylus CX-3200 (I think). I got it to work by finding and installing a *.ppd file. But, as I said, it was a long time ago.

Most hp printers will work in linux.
Every hp printer I've connected to have been so easy that it's unreal.
I never tried epsom but I have tried a canon pixma & it is a nightmare to install especially with canons half-A** support for linux. Have you checked the Epsom site to see if they have linux drivers for it?
