hi
i had this adaptec card for about few weeks and it works fine from the beginning. Somehow, whenever i plug my iomega cd-burner to this usb card, sometimes when linux's booting process reaches "checking for new hardware " or "updating /etc/fstab". There was always some problem. Say, first time, it works fine. Second, my computer just got stocked on "updating /etc/fstab" and no error shows, but just stop right there for hours.
however, when i plug this cd-rw on my on board usb port everything works fine without a single problem, but it's usb 1.0, not usb 2.0.
So, i want to ask is there a solution to this or is there a necessary driver for my adaptec usb2connect 2000?

for the column which was underlined. Is that means that the connection was usb 1.0? because i was thinking that did linux recognize my iomega cd-rw as a usb 2.0 device while i had plugged into my adaptec 2.0 pci card.
everytime, when i plug it after the system boots all the way up. everything goes fine, but when i trying to use cdroaster to burn image or stuff through this external device, this device wasn't recognize by the drive or it's not on the list. On the other side, if i plug it in the beginning, it'll be listed and things goes fine. Just sometime, it wouldn't boot up or get stocked on "detecting new hardware"
Any suggestion?
sorry, i maybe had select the wrong one. but my burner was a usb device and it's not an firewire device.
Also, i would like to ask that is there anyway i would know what kind usb port did linux recognize since i had a asus a7n8x deluxe board and in my xp pro, it recognize 6 of mine onboard usb port as a usb 1.0 connect. But when i bought this board it says it's all usb 2.0 connection and while all my devices support usb 2.0 connection.
So, is there anyway i would correct this problem either in window or linux.
If you could just tell me how would you know what kind of usb port did linux ricognize, that'll be grateful for me or i will appreciate for that!
