USB Wifi dongle not installing....


Hi all

How can I install USB wifi dongle as my inbuilt wifi card not working on linux.

there are several ways to do that. First of all you can look for a solution on the net using a search engine.
Also you can ask for help if you wish, but without any detail we can hardly suggest you anything.
So please post some info about your OS, your device, what did you try, what's happened and other important details. http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-...html#beprecise

what will lspci and lsusb say?

Looks like the wifi drivers are found according to the 3rd post, but I see "DISABLED" listed as well, so did they accidently get turned off in NetworkManager?

I'm not really sure, but probably not the correct driver found (that's why it is disabled).

If your duel booting with windows, boot windows activate reboot back into linux for the internal wireless,
for the usb dongle it looks like you will have to build the driver:
