USB webcam purchase
Hello.
I use a custom Linux build (kernel + userspace) on an Intel NUC10 running kernel version:
Linux (none) 5.6.18 #4 SMP Mon Feb 1 13:47:09 CET 2021 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have two old usb webcams (10 years old) which work fine, but would like to get new ones for several projects.
I live in France and usually am mostly happy and lucky buying electronic hardware via the Aliexpress site, and would prefer to stick to that, but open to any fresh ideas.
I am looking for ANY KIND OF ADVICE to choose from the wide list of available usb webcams on the market, and avoid going into the try & fail (which involves throwing away stuff when it doesn't work, which isn't really planet friendly).
Is there a Linux-compatible webcam list somewhere on the web that user contribute to?
https://linuxtv.org/ does not seem to maintain such a list (or very outdated).
Thank you for reading so far

In my experience it is hard nowadays to buy a webcam which is not UVC compliant, meaning they just work with UVC driver.

I have a Live Camera Ultra HD that works very nicely with Linux. (That's the only product identification I can find on the device.)

belvy,
I generally use Logitech webcams because they usually work well in Linux.
Check the particular webcam model against this list:
