I just picked up a USB webcam, the packaging doesn't list any information on what chipset its based on or a website/email address I could ask at.
dmesg wasn't much use either,

The packaging lists it as a 'Mini Internet Camera 302' if thats of any use what so ever to anyone.
Hmm, It seems it uses the spca5xx.c driver, detects the cam but im still having problems. Have a look at the most recent dmesg output
