USB to VGA adapters for linux

Hi,

I just bought a usb to vga adapter for an external monitor for my desktop. I found out that it needs drivers to work and they are not available for linux. Does anyone know of adapters that work with linux?

From what I've been seeing I might need one with DisplayLink technology. Does that sound right?

Thanks

I learned that I need edvi so I installed it but still no luck

I have two randomly purchased USB-C to VGA and HDMI adapters that just work out of the box. What sort of USB port are you tying to make this work with?

Thank you. I had it plugged into a hub but when I plugged it into it's own slot on the computer xrandr saw it. KDE still does not but I'll work on that in the Slackware forum.

Thanks again.
