Usb speed sucks


Goddmorning i have a usb 2 slot in my motherboard. I have connected my usb mp3(usb v2 too).. I have tried to upload to my usb stick some mp3 files... The upload rate was at 9-16kb/s!!!!! It is extremely low....

When i connect my device dmesg gives the following output

Flash chips are several times slower than hard drives that are 10 years old. You should be getting at least a few hundred kilobytes per second.

You try to buy a 2.5 inch hard drive that powers from the USB. They are still small, but they hold more data and they are cheaper per megabyte. The speed will not be any faster than 1 to 4 megabytes per second.
