USB SoundBlaster Live! 24bit 5.1 problem with ALSA
 

I have an IBM Thinkpad T23 laptop with FC2 running on 2.6.11.7 custom kernel and ALSA compiled from sources. after some tedious work i got my 24bit Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 (USB) partially working meaning that when viewing with alsamixer i can only see the PCM channel switch and nothing else.

snd_usb_audio module seems to be loaded ok, /proc/asound/cards contains my SoundBlaster card description, speaker-test -c 6 plays all through all the speakers but in messed up order (subwoofer, center and left speakers are mixed up).

no surround or anything of course, but it plays through front speaker and subwoofer.

any ideas? mine have run out..

that's a hard one -- as far as i can tell from reading about it that thing doesn't have any internal mixer controls -- can't adjust something that isn't there ??

i think the creative people need to explain this one

precisely - nothing to be adjusted. and blaster is working correctly under w2k.
