USB-Scanner not detected with lsusb

My scanner (CanoScan N1240U) worked fine under Suse Linux 10.0. Since upgrading to 10.1 it doesn't work.

I looked with
baer:/etc/resmgr.conf.d # lsusb
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 05dc:b018 Lexar Media, Inc. Multi-Card Reader
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 05fe:0011 Chic Technology Corp. Browser Mouse
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:0928 Logitech, Inc. Quickcam Express
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

The strange thing for me is that my scanner is not listed here whereas

baer:/etc/resmgr.conf.d # lsusb -t
Bus# 5
`-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x0000 Product 0x0000
`-Dev# 2 Vendor 0x05dc Product 0xb018
Bus# 4
`-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x0000 Product 0x0000
Bus# 3
`-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x0000 Product 0x0000
`-Dev# 9 Vendor 0x04a9 Product 0x220e
Bus# 2
`-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x0000 Product 0x0000

Bus# 1

`-Dev# 4 Vendor 0x05fe Product 0x0011

does show him (0x04a9:0x220e).

Any explanations / hints?
