USB Scanner (Epson perfection 2480 photo)

While I can get the scanner to operate whenever I use yast to re-intitialise it for the life of me I cannot remember the command so that it is recognised at boot-up. I have to use yast everytime I want the scanner inititalise, thankfully only once at every re-boot I need to do that.

From some time ago I seem to remember that it involves the ln command but I cannot remember it now.

I am running Suse 10.0 with KDE 3.5.1
