USB + Redhat 8.0

I have installed Redhat 8.0, using a ps2 keyboard. Now I am trying to get Linux to see my USb one, but it simply won't. Windows sees it fine (It's a dual boot system see...)

When linux loads, it does go past a bit that says "USB Keyboard" [ok] but then is throwing up error messages in amungst the rest of the loading speel to the effect that there is a USB interface time out.

Having searched on this subject, setiing legacy USb support in the bios makes no differnece either way...

Please, someone help me out here! Do I have to add extra stuff to linux? Will Redhat 9.0 be a better bet?

Anything would be appriciated!!

modprobe usbcore input hid keybdev mousdev

All of these modules should actually be statically linked if you're using USB keyb&mouse, otherwise you'll eventually end up in a situation where it's unavailable to you.

Consult the kernel howto for info on compiling your own kernel.
