USB question


help how do i mount the usb port on linux red hat 8.0
and how do i go about mounting it cant seem to find the drive(/dev/sda/.......) assigned to it.

what output do you acually get from dmesg when you plug it in. it's probably a lack of modules being loaded if there's no /dev/sda1. make sure usb-storage and sg are loaded as modules (modprobe x if not)

dmsg that i see is usually /dev/sda does not exist or was unable to mount /dev/sda
