USB Problems (Not seeing keyboard)
Hi there,
I've got a Knoppix (Debian) hard disk install (kernel 2.6.11ac7) and it's been running fine for the past four months.
Today I fired up my PC to boot into Linux and none of my USB devices (namely keyboard and mouse) are working at all. I can't log into console. I haven't changed a single thing since I last booted into Linux, so I dunno whats up with it?
The boot process itself is much quicker than it is normally, which would lead me to believe something isn't being run when Linux starts. I normally see a bunch of USB probes from ohci_hcd (I think?) that find all my USB devices and configure them accordingly. None today.
I'm running an nForce2 motherboard, and like I say, I haven't had a single problem with USB devices since today.
I'd like to give more information but I haven't got a PS2 keyboard lying about at the moment, so I've no real way of doing a dmesg or anything similar.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Help appreciated.
Russ.
