USB problem

I'm running gentoo for about a month now and got everything to work pretty nice. Howere I have a very annoying problem with my USB memory stick. When I plug it in I can mount and access the drive normally, but after a minute or less, it becomes extremely slow(can't copy any faster as 14 KiB/s or so). I already tried searching the forum, disabling sync etc. but nothing seems to help. Anyone knows what the problem might be? Problem is occuring with every stick while they al work fine under windows so...

This is my dmesg output:

Code:

Im clueless, sorry!, but for Gentoo I think it would be wise to check out their site:
http://www.gentoo.org

My theory, you probably need some extra kernel-support like "Support for extra usb-memory" thingy or something like that.

But I strongly advise to check out that site! They got some neet docs and a forum too!

sorry again...
