usb mouse on mandrake 9.0 rc3
the mouse works during install but freezes when gui starts. it worked in 8.2, and all previous 9.0 beta's and rc's. does anyone else have this problem. the modules show to be loaded. not sure what other info to add here.

Might be a problem with which mouse X is trying to use. Try changing the pointer section in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file to other options, specifically the protocol to IMPS/2 and the device to /dev/input/mice

well, haven't got to try that as of yet, i think i will try recompiling the kernel. i get these messages @ boot
/etc/init.d/usb : line 1 : expr: command not found starting console mouse services /dev/usbmouse don't exist does this mean that usb support was not added to the kernel. when i start usbview i get error that no usb support. |
