usb mouse not initialing in X
 

SuSE 8.2
Installed new logitech wireless kb+mouse. Yast detected both kb and mouse and both worked well. On restart of X my mouse is unresponsive. If I run Yast to select the mouse (no change from current setting) and choose test or accept, the mouse works again. Any ideas why the mouse does not initialize when X or xdm starts?
