USB mouse hangs about once a day, needs to be replugged
Hu guys,
I've got a problem with my Dell optical USB mouse (under Fedora Core 2 & 2.6.7 Kernel). It's quite random, but about once a day it just completely freezes up. The problem is solved by diving under my desk, unplugging it and then replugging it. Anyboy encountered this before? Below is the tail of /var/log/messages Cheers, Tim Aug 11 16:22:56 localhost kernel: usb 3-2: new low speed USB device using address 4 Aug 11 16:22:56 localhost kernel: input: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Logitech Optical USB Mouse] on usb-0000:00:1d.1-2 Aug 11 16:22:58 localhost udev[6929]: configured rule in '/etc/udev/rules.d//50-udev.rules' at line 24 applied, 'mouse1' becomes 'input/%k' Aug 11 16:22:58 localhost udev[6929]: creating device node '/udev/input/mouse1' Aug 11 16:22:58 localhost udev[6930]: configured rule in '/etc/udev/rules.d//50-udev.rules' at line 25 applied, 'event2' becomes 'input/%k' Aug 11 16:22:58 localhost udev[6930]: creating device node '/udev/input/event2' |

Hmmmm
The mouse and computer are only 3 weeks old though! Maybe I should ask Dell about this one |
I have a similar problem. I used to run mandrake 10 on my laptop. Every time i ran drakconf i had to unplug the mouse and plug it back in again. Not a majot headache. today i put FC2 on my laptop. Now the usb mouse fails about every 10 seconds. HELP! It's being a major PITA.
