USB Mouse going crazy...

Hey,

I've got a USB mouse running on the latest Debian. Normally it has been working fine - just plug and play. As of late, though, it has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it won't 'activate' when i plug it in - the red laser on the bottom turns on and all, but it just doesn't do anything. After a while (and me not changing anything!) it starts to work. Other times it will start out working, but then will die after a while and just stop responding. My touchpad works at all times...

Has anybody seen anything like this, or have any ideas where to look?

Thanks!

i had issues like that and worse with one of my logitec USB scroll mouse. i ended up replacing it with a logitec trackball and have not had any problems since. I used to also have strange issues with that mouse even under win2k and winXP so i think some of the mice out there are just not that good.
