USB Mouse and USB HD disabling each other

Bit of a weird setup.

I have two machines, both accessed via a PS/2 KVM.

In the front of the KVM I have a USB KEYB and MOUSE via USB->PS/2 adapters.

The FC5 machine connects to the KVM via PS/2.

*****PROBLEM*****
When I plug a USB hard disk into the FC5 machine the mouse pointer freezes to the screen. How can I resolve this problem.

Formatting the HD at the moment (No mouse attached) - So I'm not about to get a dmseg (cant rememebr teh anme of command) output just yet.

JD

Not that this helps but I had something similar. I recently started using a USB mouse. This caused my USB disks to be inaccessible. I worked around it by using the 1394 Firewire connector to access the disks. I'd be interested to know if there is some known issue with using USB mice.
