USB modem installation problem

Hello everybody, here's my problem. I have an Aztech DSL-206U USB modem and Slackware 10. Some sources say Linux recognizes it, and some say otherwise. How can I make my Slackware recognize my Aztech DSL-206U? I tried many things like turning on USB modem support (I need sole USB support too, right?), downloading a driver from http://www.eagle-usb.org and installing it but none worked. Can you help me please get on internet using Linux and my Aztech DSL-206U? I appreciate any help in advance
