USB logitech mic problem

I recently got a USB Logitech Desktop Microphone, and kudzu came up and configured it fine, it's in the hardware browser, there's even a separate volume control for it in the Volume Control app. But as you may have guessed, it doesn't work, it just doesn't give any input at all. I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out what it is. Any Ideas?

Mine was muted in the control panel for the volume control. Is yours?
